How Should I Measure?

Before measuring, wear a lightly lined bra — skip push-ups or compression sports bras — and have a soft measuring tape ready.

No measuring tape? No problem. A piece of string and a ruler will work too.

Step 1
  • Wrap the tape around your ribcage, right under your bust. Keep it level with the floor and straight across your back.
  • Breathe out, then note your measurement.
  • Type this number below in the field labeled “Underbust Size.”

Step 2
  • Next, measure around the fullest part of your bust. As in step one, keep the tape level with the floor and straight across your back.
  • Keep the tape comfortably snug, without pulling it too tight.
  • Add this number below your ribcage measurement, in the field marked “Bust Size.” Then select “Get My Size.”

Your Ideal Size Quiz

We spoke with thousands of women who wear AA, A, and B cups to refine every detail of bras made for smaller busts. Answer a few quick questions and we’ll point you to the best size so you can finally enjoy the perfect fit!

Yes. Sizing can change from one brand to another, and this fit has been rebuilt from the seams up. We suggest starting with the size your measurements recommend.

This may vary slightly depending on the exact style you’re choosing. Contact our team if you’d like specific fit advice.

Sister sizes are related bra sizes that share cup volume, even when the band number and cup letter are different. For example, 36A and 38AA have the same cup volume. A 36A and 38A are not equivalents, because the 36A cups have less volume.

The best time to use sister sizing is when your cups feel right but your band does not. If you wear 36A and the band feels too tight, 38AA may be better. If the 36A band feels too loose, 34B may be a better fit.

Our swimwear is designed with the same fit you already know, so we recommend choosing the same size as your favorite bra and underwear. New here? Visit our Fit Guide and take the Size Quiz for a size recommendation.

We recommend softer, more flexible styles with less structure for bodies that are growing and changing. Some favorites are the Supima® Cotton Wirefree Bra, Limitless Wirefree Bra, and FeelGood Wirefree Bra. These styles allow for some cup-size changes, so choose the size that best matches your ribcage measurement.

Any breast shape can be asymmetrical, and it’s common for size or placement to differ. We suggest choosing the size that fits your larger breast best. If there is a 2-cup size difference or more, we suggest taking the average.

Also, adjust your straps. It sounds simple, but trying different strap lengths can improve comfort and help the bra fit more closely on your smaller side.

For styles, bras with removable cups or light padding tend to work best. Some favorites are the Supima® Cotton Wirefree Bra, Limitless Wirefree Bra, and FeelGood Wirefree Bra.

Breasts can change a lot after surgery. We recommend soft, flexible, less structured styles for changing bodies, and wirefree options for more comfortable post-surgery healing.

Favorite styles for healing breasts include the Supima® Cotton Wirefree Bra, Limitless Wirefree Bra, and FeelGood Wirefree Bra.

Sizing is not an exact science and may differ between brands. You might wear one size elsewhere and a different size here. To check the fit, look at each part of the bra:

  • Band: The band should feel snug and comfortable on the loosest hooks, giving you room to tighten it as it stretches with wear. It should sit parallel to the floor without riding up or shifting.
  • Cups: The cups should lie smooth against your breast tissue without spilling or gapping.
  • Underwire (if applicable): The underwire should rest comfortably beneath the breast tissue and follow your breast root without digging into the sides or underarm area. It should not sit on top of breast tissue or below the rib cage.
  • Bra straps: Straps should stay in place without slipping or digging. Adjust them so they feel snug and comfortable on your shoulders.
  • The band fits, but the cups feel too big: Keep the same band and go down one cup size. For example, if 32A feels too large in the cups but the band fits well, try 32AA.
  • The band fits, but the cups feel too small: Keep the same band and go up one cup size. For example, if 32A feels too small in the cups but the band is right, try 32B.
  • The band is too big, but the cups fit well: Go down one band size and up one cup letter. For example, if 32A is too big in the band but the cups fit well, try 30B.
  • The band is too small, but the cups fit well: Go up one band size and down one cup letter. For example, if 32A is too small in the band but the cups fit well, try 34AA.
  • Both band and cups feel too small: Go up a bra size. For example, if 32A was too small in both band and cups, try 34A.
  • Both band and cups feel too big: Go down a bra size. For example, if 32A was too big in both band and cups, try 30A.

As with any undergarment, we recommend giving your bras extra care so they last longer:

  • Hand Wash: Washing by hand with cold water and mild detergent helps your item keep its shape and quality the longest.
  • Use a Laundry Bag: When hand washing is not possible, a laundry bag protects delicates from rough zippers and snags in the machine. Tuck in the zipper before washing, remove any removable pads, and always use cold water.
  • Air dry: Skip the dryer and lay your bra flat or place it on a rack. High dryer heat can deform and wrinkle your bra.
  • Switch it out: Wearing one bra every day puts extra stress on the garment. Rotating between several bras reduces daily wear and tear and gives you more colors to choose from.
